The Rebs Are Going to the Regionals!
AA LAS VEGAS REBELS DO IT...
GET SUPER-STRONG START...

BEAT AA LAS VEGAS OUTLAWS 8-5!

Las Vegas - It was one of the all-time celebrations on ice, a pile of skaters all over goalie Cutter Hurst.
The AA Las Vegas Rebels beat cross-town rival Las
Vegas Outlaws, 8-5, to win the last two games of a fiercely-played best-of-three to win the City Title, the State Championship and get a ticket to the Pacific District Tier 11 Regional Championships next month.
For the third straight game, the Rebels got off to a very strong start. This time they scored four goals and led 4-3 going into the second period.
It was a difficult loss for the Outlaws who fought off
the Rebels' firestorm of shots in the opening game and had a tremendous skate while winning by three goals.
However, in the next two games, the Rebs sharpshooters shot on net and goals piled up. The 7-4 win on
Wednesday marked the first time the Rebels had beaten the Outlaws in three attempts.
The Rebs top line of Chris Francis, Ryan Townsend and Robbie Silvernail had a strong skate in all three games.

It's an absolute shootout....Rebs had 7-4 lead, then Mike Bernstein scored for the Outlaws....Outlaws strong with the puck to open the third period....Cutter Hurst in the net for the Rebels...it's getting very tense on the
ice....Clock is winding down....crowd getting loud and noisy, urging on each team...Outlaws go onto a power play with a little more than three minutes to play....Rebs kill it off....final moments now....Rebels get empty
-net goal....It looks like Ryan Townsend hit it in....seconds to go....8-5 Rebels...getting real loud in the bleachers at the Santa Fe.....clock ticks down....final buzzer....all Rebels head for their goalie Cutter Hurst...
.big pile of excited skaters...the Rebels win the state title and are going to the regionals...

AA OUTLAWS VS. AA REBELS IN A BEST-OF-THREE
AND THE WINNER HEADS FOR THE PACIFIC REGIONALS!

It's the buzz at every rinkboard in town. The AA Las Vegas Outlaws bantams take on the AA Las Vegas Rebels bantams in a City Series 'Best of Three' with the winner to head to the Tier 11 Pacific District regional championships.
It all starts on Tuesday night. Each team has star skaters and each is strong in the net. The biggest crowds of the season are expected to pour into Santa Fe Stations Ice Arena to see these two teams.
There hasn't been a City Series like this since 1998-99 when the AA Las Vegas Mustangs bantams, led by Justin Johnson, twice beat AA Team Las Vegas in fiercely played games before very large crowds wrapped around the
rinkboards and in the bleachers.
This City Series is bigger because of the importance of it all - the winner moves on to regional action.
The Outlaws and the Rebels played twice earlier this year:
Outlaws 5, Rebels 5 (tie)
Outlaws 7, Rebels 4
In the second game, the Outlaws took a big lead into the third period when the Rebels rattled in the last three goals.
Corbin Brown, Mike Bernstein, Ryan Schaefer and Nick Adimey are among the top Outlaws skaters.
The Rebels include Chris Francis, Bryce Reddick, Robbie Silvernail with goalies Cutter Hurst and Steve Bolton.
It begins Tuesday night, 8:15 pm at the Santa Fe Stations Ice Arena.
